New Grant to myAgro

A grant of $10,000 has been awarded to myAgro to laugh a permanent loan fund to provide innovative labor loans to small scale farmers in southern Mali.  The funds will be used to match savings and provide small loans to help 500 farmers purchase microdosing disks and seeding machines in order to take a large step away from low-yield manual labor subsistence farming toward better high-yield modern farming.  Since the loans will be repaid, the one-time grant from AllPeopleBeHappy foundation will be recycled to serve more farmers each year - in 5 years, the $10,000 grant is projected to help support over 1,400 small scale farmers and 16,800 children.

Results of Grant to Cercle Social

Cercle Social was initiated in late 2010 by expatriates from Benin living in USA, France, and Canada.  Cercle Social requested $4,836 from the AllPeopleBeHappy foundation in May of 2012, to build a computer lab in the high school of Tori Agouako in Benin.   A grant of $5,000 was used to purchase and shipped the lab’s equipment, consisting of computers, copier, projector, and power supplies.  The school provided the classroom space.  The lab opened in November of 2012 with great fanfare and now computer training classes are being conducted for the 1,700 students six days a week.
